With more than 2700 members, Audiology Australia is Australia’s professional association for audiologists. We’re dedicated to improving people’s ability to communicate and interact in everyday settings.

We provide professional development, set ethical standards of practice and are a strong, influential advocate.

We raise public awareness and work with health professionals to improve the quality of life for Australian’s with hearing and balance issues.

Our Purpose

To give our members value and to maintain our authority as the leading professional body in audiology. We’re committed to providing education, advocacy and setting ethical standards of practice to ensure audiologists deliver the highest quality hearing health care, and are valued by the community for their services and expertise.

Our members


Our members work in a variety of fields including academia, research, diagnostics, indigenous health, hearing aid dispensing, deaf education, noise management, compensation, paediatrics and complex adult rehabilitation. Audiologists provide clinical services through hospitals, community health clinics, government funded agencies, hearing aid clinics, cochlear implant clinics, private practice, university clinics, Ear-Nose-Throat clinics and occupational hearing conservation programs.

Audiology Australia is recognised by Australian Commonwealth and State Governments as the principal association representing professional audiologists across all sectors of audiological practice. The organisation is governed by a Board and managed by a CEO and dedicated office staff.
